Somerset County residents on alert after reports of a leak at High Point Dam

FORT HILL, Pa. (WJAC) -- There is an alert for residents in Somerset County. 911 officials say the dam at High Point Lake is leaking, and those living downstream need to be on alert. Dispatchers with Somerset County 911 say there's no imminent danger, but they say the Fish and Boat Commission reported there is a leak at the breast of the lake, with potential for the dam to erode and possibly even fail. Somerset Twp. man dies from injuries in Route 31 crash

Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees says a Somerset Township man passed away over the weekend from injuries sustained in a crash last week along Route 31. Lees identified the victim as 73-year-old James Will. Officials say Will was involved in a crash on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 27 along Glades Pike. Authorities say Will was transported to Conemaugh Hospital where he later died early Saturday morning. Officials say Will suffered multiple trauma-related injuries and his death was ruled accidental. SUV nearly swallowed as sinkhole opens in Pennsylvania town

EASTON, Pa. (CNN) — An SUV was nearly swallowed by a sinkhole on Easton’s southside. Watch this surveillance video that shows the ground cracking as the car drives towards a stop sign.
