Two historic Gettysburg homes soon available for rental

GETTYSBURG, Pa (CNN) — Looking for a unique vacation spot? Two historic homes on the Gettysburg Battlefield will be available to rent soon. The National Park Service says both the Michael Bushman and John Slyder houses will be available for overnight stays starting on May 24th. The Civil War battle of Gettysburg unfolded around the houses on July 2, 1863. The Bushman home is a two-story stone house built in 1808. Read More...

University of Florida president slams campus protests as 'stupid and reductionistic'

GAINSVILLE, Fla. (TND) — University of Florida (UF) President Ben Sasse offered harsh words for pro-Palestine protesters on college campuses this week. Police officers in April apprehended nine demonstrators at UF and three at the University of South Florida during protests demanding the colleges divest from entities perceived as profiting off Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Altoona Curve receive invite to MLB's new player development system

ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — The Altoona Curve have reportedly received an invitation to be part of the MLB's newest player development system, according to a release, and would remain the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was first reported nearly one year ago that Major League Baseball had a new proposal in the works that would eliminate 40 minor league teams and would restructure the league based upon geography.
