Truck hauling scrapped cars crashes into bridge in Somerset County

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Officials in Somerset County say cars came crashing down after the truck they were being carried on crashed into the Turnpike Bridge in Somerset Township. Authorities say the crash happened along Route 281, otherwise known as Stoystown Road, around 3:30 Friday afternoon. Officials say the truck was loaded too high when it went under the bridge. 'Super Size Me' filmmaker Morgan Spurlock dies at 53

NEW YORK (TND) — Oscar-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, known for eating only McDonald's for a month in "Super Size Me" has died. He was 53. Spurlock died Thursday from complications of cancer, his family said in a statement Friday. "It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan," Craig Spurlock said. Best year in a decade for Blair County airport in 2023 despite loss of over 400k posted

A financial report states the Altoona-Blair County Airport had an operating loss of over $400,000 in 2023, but the airport manager said that number is out of context, and they had money in hand by the end of the year. The Altoona-Blair County airport manager Tracy Plessinger said even though it is a smaller airport they manage about $42 million in assets, and those assets losing value is what makes it appear as if the airport lost money.
