SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Officials in Somerset County say cars came crashing down after the truck they were being carried on crashed into the Turnpike Bridge in Somerset Township.
Authorities say the crash happened along Route 281, otherwise known as Stoystown Road, around 3:30 Friday afternoon.
Officials say the truck was loaded too high when it went under the bridge.
In the aftermath, four scrapped cars from Ridge Recycling were laying on the road and were later towed away. Read More...
NEW YORK (TND) — Oscar-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, known for eating only McDonald's for a month in "Super Size Me" has died. He was 53. A financial report states the Altoona-Blair County Airport had an operating loss of over $400,000 in 2023, but the airport manager said that number is out of context, and they had money in hand by the end of the year.
